OUR STORY

about us

AA Canvas & Shades is a locally owned and operated business specialising in high-quality canvas products, blinds for residential and commercial use and the acclaimed TUFF DOG Australia dog accessories.

Kaine was born and raised in Renmark and has vast experience as a qualified panel beater, worked in the shedding and fencing industry for 10 years and also has his certificate for plastic welding.

Annette started her working career making saddles for Bates Saddlery (Horseland). This is where her experience behind a sewing machine began. After working for 7 years as a saddler, she held a variety of successful management roles.

In 2009, the opportunity arose for Kaine and Annette to purchase an industrial sewing machine. A.A Canvas & Shades was born and Annette began operating from home part time around their family. In March 2011, with the business rapidly growing, AA Canvas & Shades moved to a larger premise to accommodate the expanding workload.

Kaine had been pigging locally and across VIC and NSW for 15 years when he was asked by a hunter of 30 years to fabricate a durable hunting collar. Together, they designed the collar and Kaine began producing a range of pigging accessories, including neck collars, chest plates and full breast plates. The TUFF DOG Australia range is now sold across Australia and Asia.

AA Canvas & Shades are renowned for their high quality workmanship and their tough-wearing products. The team are well known in the Riverland and enjoy an outdoors lifestyle, using all of the products they make. If you need canvas or PVC products made, trust the locals that live the life you do.
